The 18-hole "Okatie Creek" course at the Sun City Hilton Head facility in Bluffton, South Carolina features 6,724 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 71.9 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Mark McCumber, ASGCA, the Okatie Creek golf course opened in 1995. Pulte Homes, Inc. manages this facility.

Rose Hill Mansion
Rose Hill Mansion is an historic site in Bluffton, Beaufort County, South Carolina, that preserves the antebellum plantation home of Dr. & Mrs. John William (1803-1868) & Caroline (1815-1864) Kirk, a wealthy planter and physician. The original Rose Hill Plantation property of 1880 acres was a wedding gift from James Brown Kirk to his eldest daughter, Caroline in 1838.[2] Construction on the plantation house was begun in 1858. The land was used to grow cotton, rice and indigo during these years. Rice and cotton were the primary cash crops and salt was harvested from the nearby brackish creeks

About 19,000 recruits are trained at Parris Island each year. The facility covers more than 8,000 acres, including more than 4,000 acres of salt marsh and tidal streams.

Old Town Bluffton / Bluffton Historic District
The Bluffton Historic District, located in the town of Bluffton, South Carolina, is important due to its position as the commercial hub of southern Beaufort County from 1880-1930. The area includes 46 buildings of residential and commercial architecture, two landscape features that contribute to the district's historic character, and 17 buildings that do not contribute. Important eras are represented in the district, including the Antebellum Resort Era (1815-1860), Civil War and Reconstruction (1860-1880), and the Commercial Growth and Decline (1880-1945). The Bluffton Historic District was listed in the National Register on June 21, 1996
